Intro to health inequalities

In the UK, certain individuals and communities continue to face unjust health disparities, affecting both their health outcomes and their interactions with health services.

Health inequalities represent preventable and unfair variations in health status among groups, populations, or individuals, stemming from the unequal distribution of social, environmental, and economic factors.

These disparities influence the likelihood of illness, the capacity to prevent sickness, and the ability to take timely action and seek treatment when health issues arise.
